It is tough, I work shifts comprising of mornings, afternoons, nights and days, plus I have a young family and dog ! I have plenty of time for study though, which is good, however finding the quiet time to concentrate and trade is proving hard to do, in an ideal world I'd give up my 'day' job and do this full time, I am sure it will happen, it's this time where the positive mindset and motivation will spur you to carry on and not just give up.

Thanks for posting this - it's something that I find kind of annoying. I've learned to just shut up and focus on myself now. At the end of the day, I am my only competition. No two traders are identical
Cool, Tom! Nice blog on this :D I did not know that trades could be manually entered though! Sheesh.
Good to know!!!
Your Rock Tom thanks

I have dual screens, and havent figured out as yet how to not screen dump one screen only..tried alt+printscreen..
@pabloemms Normally a regular printscreen should do. Then when you copy paste it into paint (or some other editor), it gives you both screens.

It's been shown that good poker players have a lot of the skill-set required to be a succesful trader.

The droughts are extra tough. Going through one now. Do any of you guys sweep your profits in money market to get through them?
@TruMac You must have a broker account, TD, Suretrader, Tradeking, etc. Then you might want to sign up for one of Tim's monthly programs for videos, trades, and more. http://profit.ly/guru/timothysykes

Geez, I could have written pretty much the same post, it's nice to see I'm thinking along the same lines.
Wow, great post. I second all of your advice 100%. Too many people think that all they need is $200 and a few lessons. I'm right there with you...study, practice, ask, read, and study some more. I equate this to getting a high level certification where you have to put the time into studying to get something out of it. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this with us...and I'll be right there with you entering the Club!!

Great Stody, Time is a winner, with a right mind set . God is good.
It was a pleasure reading up on the experiences you've had in the past. You'll do big things!
You struck a lot of chords with me and my personal and current circumstances, good luck my friend.

@pabloemms just became a fully transparent trader today!

Oh seems really good. Thanks for the advice.
I really like the software as well, proper level 2, unlike IG trading which is cheaper for the data, and does not have true market depth and they screw you with the trading fee's.
I am trying to get started as cheap as possible. I have done my homework but would still like to minimize overheads. I also spend allot of time in asia which I hope wont be a problem.
P.S thanks for the help. Much appreciated.
