Hey All,
Just to recap my short trading journey, it's been around 5 months following tim, catching up on all his videos, going through HTMM almost 4 times now. I feel I have made quite a lot of progress in being able assess a chart and dip buying is something I feel the most confident in. Although I have made only 5 trades so far, I feel I have learnt a lot and am looking to increase my account size from 380 to around 800 or so in the coming months.
Been quite a while since I posted a blog, so thought I should keep my fellow trader's updated. It's been a hard couple of week's as I have been busy with graduate school, studies, job hunting and lifeeeeeee get's in the way as Tim says. I have been checking in with the market once or twice a day and I seem to have a disconnect, where I don't know for certainty how the market is doing or how the stock would react in general. Had made only one trade in the week which was $BIOS had a nice entry at $1.99 just after it had got the contract and my trail stop order got stopped out at 2.05 barely making even due to my small position size and small account size. Although not making any real profits, trading with a small account is fun as it imbibes in you the discipline and mental toughness to only enter trades with greater reward, which is something I feel is quite valuable at this nascent stage of my trading career. Would like to hear feedback from you guys on how you all are balancing studies or work with trading and how you carry out your research.
Cheers all
It is tough, I work shifts comprising of mornings, afternoons, nights and days, plus I have a young family and dog ! I have plenty of time for study though, which is good, however finding the quiet time to concentrate and trade is proving hard to do, in an ideal world I'd give up my 'day' job and do this full time, I am sure it will happen, it's this time where the positive mindset and motivation will spur you to carry on and not just give up.
You can do it akalur!
