Hi. I think it's wonderful that you've identified and acknowledge your personal emotional weakness that you'll have to learn how to control. When I reviewed my first 5 months of trading I saw that I was getting killed in commissions, so I switched brokers from TD Ameritrade to Interactive Brokers. That helped lower my costs. I also wanted to be done with PDT, so I opened with Suretrader and I never experienced overtrading until I physically and mentally could. My first week with ST I caught an a
an addiction of "the fear of missing out". The most scariest experience in all of my trading! Through Tim's mentorship (videos/conferences/commentary), I beat it into my head that "The market will always be there". There are plays every single day. So you can relax, miss some, and let your plays come to you. For me, it reduced my trading immensely to the point that I almost don't trade, but the market has indeed always been there and I no longer feel I miss anything. There's another play tomorro

try https://suretrader.com/ it gives you $100k to paper trade. I haven't used it but I am almost sure that they will let you short
Interactive Brokers will work, but you need to open an 10K account. I could be wrong, but I think its a 15-20min market delay for their simulated trading.
Thanks for all information

No borrowed $$$$!! I started my trading using my tax money!
@thealextrader it's tim's strategy, but mostly yes. I tried a few different strategies before locking in on earnings. i also add some money i get from other income streams to help it along.
I borrowed money and I am feeling good with it!
Borrowing money it is not a problem if you know how to do that in a proper way, for example when I had some problems with my health I started looking for a way how to solve it and at the end I managed to find a suitable service via this article https://fitmymoney.com/hardship-loans/ , that gave me some amount of money in a seconds and I don’t needed to worry about getting all the paperworks in time and everything else that I don’t like about banks.

Hi @Palmer, I saw in chat where you were talking about dragging and dropping a watchlist item to pull up a chart in ToS. I wanted to share with you my setup in case you didn't know there is another way of doing it. You can "color sync" multiple charts, watchlists, level 2, time and sales, etc. in ToS. When you look at a chart .. to the right of where you type in symbols, choose a color. Then, go to your watchlist and set it for the same color. Now, when you click on the watch list item, that stock will show up on all the screens you set for the identical color. I'll attach a picture of my setup for illustration. All of my boxes are set on "red". I hope this tip helps!

I understand your question. Yes, it's possible, but not to my knowledge through ToS. I subscribe to stockcharts.com, where I can create a list of stocks. Then I can create an alert and apply it to that list. I subscribe to realtime data, which don't quote me, but in theory it should send me an email notification the moment one of the stocks hits my criteria. So that would be the only way I now of. It's was sort of a hit or miss with me on the timeliness of the notifications so I don't real
*so I don't really use it for alerts anymore. But that's the only way that I know of that's helpful.
Ok...thanks for the info. I can work with TOS for now. I can manage 10 charts and alerts. The more I can narrow down my watclist the better...Trade well my friend...
Thank you. You too !!

@Prada_Child welcomes you to their trader wall!

TD Ameritrade (Think or Swim) is awesome for free charting, data, and level 2. I only keep $20 in that account and there are no extra fees. I have IB as well for actual trading and scans. I pay maybe $16/month for NYSE/Nasdaq/OTC real-time quotes. I don't have level 2 on IB because I already have that with ToS. It's a nice combo.
For market data, you need to subscribe to what you want. Login into Account Management and do the following http://bit.ly/1nW5fkG
