Hi all,
Recently started IB broker, and find the interface extremely hard to use. Having tried their demo, I find it extremely different than their actual TWS platform.
How do I see real time quotes? Do I have to wait a certain time after my deposit goes in to see real time quotes? Have been relying on yahoo finance so far but still not accurate enough.
Also, what are the datas that you guy recommend subscribing to? I'm thinking to open a TD broker for its research and data and use IB for execution.
What do you guys think? Thank you!

TD Ameritrade (Think or Swim) is awesome for free charting, data, and level 2. I only keep $20 in that account and there are no extra fees. I have IB as well for actual trading and scans. I pay maybe $16/month for NYSE/Nasdaq/OTC real-time quotes. I don't have level 2 on IB because I already have that with ToS. It's a nice combo.
For market data, you need to subscribe to what you want. Login into Account Management and do the following http://bit.ly/1nW5fkG
