I wanted to get into HTGM when it broke the day high but I never know how overnights go. I have no advice other than I wanted to make the same move.

In experience holding overnight..is very risky. Because if a stock goes against you...you cant always just get out!! Because the volume may not be there. And if there is some volume....Whoever you broker with..may not be able to execute trades afterhours, overnight, or premarket. Some brokers just dont have the juice to execute trades efficiently at these times...So in most cases I've been stuck all night, into the next morning, all premarket till the market opens then Im able to get out...after

So don't hold overnight unless youre very sure about the trade! Def have to have a stacked win/loss ratio...in your favor at least 5:1 even 10:1

@phil75 Phil, if you are taking an o/n trade you have to keep an eye on it. The volume is much lower so you don't necessarily have to cut it if it is weak, but if there is meaningful news after hours you must be aware. It looks like your position is still in good shape, but I would hope your risk is in the 3.55 area (previous support), and fortunately that did not get tested.

They will more than likely do an offering but if you got in at 3.12 you need to scale out as it moves up to bank something along the way.

i think it's at $3 now after an S-3 filing hit in after hours. my recommendation is anytime you have almost a 33% profit then take 50% to 75% of your shares off and bank the profit.

let the other remaining percentage run - if it cracks down, it has to really crash hard to wipe out your profit. if it runs up another 100% you still have a killer gain. i see giys in investors undgd doing this, roland does it.

take profits along the way - bank meat of move - never know the news before announced - bank it!

Cool 3 of 4 that are my list. DPW crashed of the high of $4.40 after hrs..hard....now down @ $2.77 might be a good dip buy at this point.....

Word of advice to beginners from a beginner still...Any learning material you purchase..From Sykes and or the others.....Watch them 4-5 times and keep watching...It makes more sense every time you watch. Don't just watch and listen once and think you've got it. There a lot of subtle gems that you will miss. So watch on repeat.

I don't let losses get to me too much...because they are lessons. It helps me to directly see what I could have done better or what my misjudgment was. So I look forward to winning my next trade with a better plan, clearer mind and better eye. And my confidence in knowing hat I can make money in the markets helps in dealing with a loss..especially when I get stubborn and take a big loss.
