Awesome work, but crazy position size indeed. I roughly calculated the size to be about $850k. I've never tried shorting that large of a size relative to my account before, but will your brokerage let you short using margin? Also, I wasn't able to find shares to short that day in both Etrade and Interactive Brokers, so that's something you may be let down on with a real account.

@thoe99 loooo I'd never do that with a real account regardless, like, ever. I would've cut initial losses and waited for my time to short at highs. Theres some trades I of course make with this paper trading account I wouldn't with a real one. That's the benefit of having a paper trading account, you're able to explore new plays, trading styles, etc.

What's making you hesitant to hold o/n trades (based on BTUUQ)?

@thoe99 I'm more comfortable daytrading. There's nothing wrong with the BTUUQ setup but just expected it to be more volatile especially towards there close

Thanks for all of your daily charting. It really helps me too. You chart a lot of excellent entry points. Are you able to see these form real-time? and ultimately act on it at the moment?

@thoe99 You're welcome! I'm getting better at seeing it real-time but not on all the stocks of course. My pattern recognition has improved a lot in the last month so now it's trying to capture it real-time and not hesitate when I see a good setup/familiar pattern.

I'm a few months into learning all of this. I can often see these setups forming, but I suffer from hesitation too :/

@thoe99 hesitation comes from lack of confidence and conviction in your thesis. The more you study and recognize these patterns the more confident you become and can place a trade without fear. 😊

I followed this pump company from 12/6 after getting a pump email. Yes, they are as blatant of a pump as can be. I'm primarily using this to witness it play out live, as I cannot find any broker that will let me borrow shares ahead of time, just to reserve for when the crash happens. I have TDAmeritrade, Etrade, and Optionshouse. Let us know if you have any better luck.

@thoe99 A little bit after my first 100k on this account I sized in about 60% of my account. I have since stopped doing that lmao and put maybe like 40 % now.

@TheHorselessHeadsman I appreciate it man, occasionally I get someone who hates on me and takes the time out of their day to madoff every single one of my trades ever lmao!. almost 300 trades this dude goes through and down thumbs. It's weird but it's fine. I've never once said it was real money and I post my big losses as well as my wins. I hope 2017 treats you the best as well!

@OONPAPERTRADES I think you mentioned you're doing real money soon, right? I'm very excited to see your success carry though then too. I'm still very new to this and have been absorbing as much knowledge with all my free time. It's so good to see a forum with such transparency and successful people like yourself, on paper or not.

I am whenever I get enough money too yes, until then I'm just going to get the practice in and I'm in no rush. I learn something new almost everyday still. But yeah I agree this platform is great I don't know what kind of trader I'd be without it or if I even would be trading lol. Happy new year good luck to you in 2017 !
