Bought this previous day runner expecting a morning runnup that didn't happen. Midday volume stayed low and no volume in early afternoon. I bailed out given my expected pattern didn't pan out.

Breaking news of merger scheduled for 10/14/24. I expected the stock to rise on this announcement, but nothing. I guess not alot of people saw/heard the announcement, or didn't care. I got out quickly for a small loss. Lesson - don't bet on the news. Watch for the reaction via the stock price.

First trade with real money. Not paying attention to entry. Rather than a limit order, trade type set to "Fill or Kill". Price was fast moving and order entry higher than I wanted. Trade did not move as expected. Took a small loss and closed trade quickly.

Chose this repeating pattern of the previous two days: a dip in premarket just prior to the open, a small breakout at the open followed by a slight pull back early morning, and then a steady increase in price for the remainder of the day. Closed out the order mid afternoon for a small profit. I'm happy with this small trade as it went exactly as planned. While small, I ended the week in "green". More to come with alot more study.
