I felt the same way today. Literally traded out of desperation. bought into trades as they were spiking, then kept them hoping for a second spike which never happened. Instead went way lower than buy in price. :-/ All we can do is keep learning and become wiser.
Hi , I am suggesting to stop trading with real money and paper trading . try to find patterns you like and get better in those patterns . I know what you feel right now and you want to make all the money you lost but you should remember , a revenge trading will result in a bigger loss
Evan,My Brother we all experence these Emotions what ever the dollar Amount. You have to remember "BASE HITS" When you try to swing for the fence you loose I know that is easy to say However, Look at the History of all the successful trader we are surrounded by.They all preach the same thing "IT'S A MARATHON NOT A SPRINT" Take a step back relax build your confidence by studying/Paper trading get back in the game with confidence.Do not force your trades. You know the rules " STICK TO THEM"

[TimAlerts] I am starting to feeling bad for selling $STEM at 0.47 !FML
You can have a cash account (no PDT to deal with) and open a seperate Margin account (subject to PDT) for 3 shorts in 5 business days...I like cash account for small $2000 account b/c U can have 6 or 7 trades per week taking smaller positions while U learn how to trade and get used to the emotions of trading with real money and not just paper trading...2 completely different experiences.
I like PDT , It teaches you how to trade not to gamble because you have to be picky and think about it . You can do the cash but even if you enter a trade with $500 you have to make at least 2% to 5% gain depend on your broker to just cover the commissions ! If I were you I would stick to my margin account and try to grow it .
Cash account is not for learning if you dont know how to trade open a paper trade account . Over trading and FOMO are the worst things can happen to new traders and they can kill your account very very soon . However , If you think you know what you are doing but you are not successful because of PDT you can start USTOCKTRADE .They have low commissions and no pdt

are you a short seller or long ? If you are short seller and dont have 30000 just go with IB , but if you have 30000 and want to short go with centerpoint security , if you are long trader go with speedtraderbecause they have better execution for OTC
By the way, according to their website, Centerpoint has upped their minimum to $50,000.

First You need margin account .2nd your broker has to have shares 3rd) Best example I can give you is EBIO , I shorted 2000 shares on Wed and I covered ON Monday : for this trade I paid
$20 commision + $40 hard to borrow fee (APR was 99%) and also keep in mind for shorting stocks under $2.5 you need to have $2.5 for margin requirement . For shorting 2000 shares Ebio at $1.50 you need to have $5000=$2.5*2000
One rule i follow is : don't hold overnight. Especially if you are covering the 2.50 rule through margin. ALSO, i recommend entering the position a pullback.

@Justinian77 Really? I thought a buy and a sell was one trade. Thank you for clearing that up!
@Justin and you are right my friend!!
@iJasonR , 1 trade is a round trip, buy and sell = 1 trade, if you are unsure in etrade about this, go to Accounts - Balances and it tells you how many trades you have left and how many trades you have performed
you can call etrade if you haven't used ETRADE pro and they will give you a free trial if you ask. if you execute the minimum trade amount during the trial you won't have to pay. I have never paid the fee to this day

You can go to yahoo finance , Or you can get sst or equityfeed ($100+ monthly ) . Just remember Tim was not the first one . TWER spiked almost 2 hours before Tim initial buy
and you could find it in top gainer , Tim saw the support and volume and then bought TWER . You dont want to be the first person . Even if you see the P/R you cannot finish reading it correctly less than 30 minutes
Thanks for the help!

If your trading like your doing it will be free Its 30 trades per 3 months your good man
I'd just use think or swim personally or Tim's StockstoTrade personally
I made a video for you its on my page.
there' no charge for etrade pro if you make 30 trades per quarter, or 15 round trip trades. (buy/sell) and I think a minimum balance of $2000.00. I believe that's the way it works, I have an account with them and haven't gotten charged. If not STT has level 2.
