If you think you're going to trade and make money all the time, you're dead wrong.
Lately, I've been very focused on structure within my accounts. Here's what I mean when I say that:
I simply build for "tomorrow." That's one thing no one can hide from....time. We have all to go forward and so do companies, businesses, markets...etc.
I have two portfolios right now absolutely loaded with hundreds of stocks/picks that have (multiple) high analyst targets. It required alot of time, patience and research. I don't mind it. I love what I do.
GOAL - No matter how much I trade, how much I win or lose, I've ALWAYS got a solid structure behind my "flashy" facade of trading that is doing the WORK.
Warren Buffet said something like, "Unless you figure out how to make money while you sleep, you are going to work until you die."
That's one of my favorite, most inspirational quotes. I refuse to live as a W2 slave. WHY? Because I think life has no meaning if you are working your ass off only to spend all of your money on rediculous rent, restaurant drinks and disgusting weird IPA beer....and stupid fucking coachella tickets that you bought in advance - not even knowing if your boss/employer will give you the time off for it.
Let's not forget that you spend most of your time at work, which is, in my opinion, dedicating your time to doing what other people tell you to do for a business model that has nothing to do with you. LOL! I've been there. For 11 years, I've been there.
Let me be clear. Work, especially working hard, is NEVER a bad thing. I just refuse to fall in line and continue to live within wasteful parameters any longer. I aim to go where the fuck I want, when the fuck I want. And financial planning and patience permit me to do so.
