That does sound good. I should have some more capital available in the coming months that I could use to open an account there. The Suretrader fees are pretty high. I may have lost 1250 bucks but 500 of that was their fees.

Hey Nik, it's tough for most traders to look at losses (properoly) but I think the best consideration is that it is "tuition" money. After all, a doc or lawyer pays up huge to become professional and trading in my eyes is way harder than either of those jobs (think of all the Dr. that have been cleaned out by Ms. Market!). Is it allowed to open 10k account with IB, and withdraw 7k? how long are their cashouts?

Tim. What was your thinking behind shorting NXTD today? I made some money long last week but sold on Friday. It spiked this morning and I waited and bought on the dip thinking it would go back up and follow the upward trend it has been on for the past while. It just continued to tumble. What did I miss?

Well, their fees are pretty high, but once I start trading large quantities of shares, the fees go down. Their customer service isn't terrible from my experience, although I seemed to have to bug them quite a bit to finally get my account to open. They are day trader friendly and have quite a few of the NASDAQ shares to short.
