@TradeToWin Hey TTW, thx for the follow. I am not sure about how IB structures minimums or if you can deposit 10k then withdraw 7, but they are quick about transfers back to your bank (3 days roughly) and you can do it once a month for free.

Suretrader was not working the past couple days so I was out of it. Also lost about 1250 bucks since I started with a 1500 account. Need to take a break, study up, and maybe do some paper trading again before I jump back in.

That does sound good. I should have some more capital available in the coming months that I could use to open an account there. The Suretrader fees are pretty high. I may have lost 1250 bucks but 500 of that was their fees.

Hey Nik, it's tough for most traders to look at losses (properoly) but I think the best consideration is that it is "tuition" money. After all, a doc or lawyer pays up huge to become professional and trading in my eyes is way harder than either of those jobs (think of all the Dr. that have been cleaned out by Ms. Market!). I also recommend IB. I play pretty small most of the time, am up to 10k in commission costs myself but a lot of times I'm trying out some ideas with small size or just gett

Is it allowed to open 10k account with IB, and withdraw 7k? how long are their cashouts?

@TradeToWin I'm not sure. Their online chat could answer that for you

Yes, you can trade with suretrader, only US citizens can't trade. Moreover, if you want, try out optionsxpress too. They're good. With $500, you can start but don't copy every trade. You have copy good traders like @jollar and wait for $2 or under this value stocks. At least you should start with 3000 to cover broker costs and every thing.

Great info! do you know about tax laws for any winnings? I am actually a from the UK just living overseas for less than a year. Also do they still have the max 3 trades for accounts under 25k? Help is greatly appreciated.
