Bought this earnings winner on a quick pullback AH. Thesis was that it could gap up quite a lot due to the strong close, and a catalyst. Knew it was a risky play, and my entry was bad, so I kept size very small. It turned out to gap down all the way to 3.40 and I took my loss right at the open. I still think that my risk- reward was solid, because I considered it to have a lot of potential. Full analysis: https://www.tradervue.com/shared/trades/6483263

Bought this bitcoin/ China sympathy play as it broke 20.00 for a minute. Almost timing the exact top, haha. Thesis was that It could finish strongly and morning spike the next day. Risk was 19.10 and a gap down when it closed (@ 19.81). Played small size due to a pretty wide risk. Should have waited to see some confirmation on that 20-break as I never just buy the breakout. Took position after some higher lows in the afternoon. Was looking for a strong close, and some continuation Tuesday morning. Thesis was that it could morning spike. Risk was 2.45. I didn’t get the morning spike I wanted, but I was right that it had upside potential. OK to play safe, but should have thought bigger picture, and moved the risk up to LOD or G/R instead of selling into random weakness. Lesson: Be very clear about the holding time of the trade, and manage the trade accordingly.

Took position at EOD when it closed strong. Thesis was that it could squeeze up, with little overhead resistance. Goal was to sell into a morning spike. Risk was tight at .80. Plan worked very well. Ideally I would have locked half into the first spike, but that makes little sense with this small size. Could possibly have gotten a better entry, but very good thesis.

Bought at EOD, after it held up into the close. Thesis was that it could have a Day 2 morning spike, without any significant resistance up to 1.15. Did not have any news out, but I thought they would spike it up some more since they recently had some sub-dollar delisting news. Pairing this with the long-term chart, which suggested a continuation on Day 2. My plan was to sell if it gapped down, as I was looking for a quick morning spike. https://www.tradervue.com/shared/users/20928

Saw an ABCD-pattern here into the afternoon. As it was above Vwap, and already had rotated the float, I was thinking squeeze into the late day. The positive was a good RR-ratio, and ability to squeeze shorts fast. It is kind of tricky to play these SSR stocks as you rather want to predict the pops. I initially wanted to buy when it passed the previous high at 3.37, but instead I chased the perk. (https://www.tradervue.com/shared/trades/6374320)

Bought this biotech stock in the late afternoon. Thesis was that it could squeeze shorts as the biotech sector heated up a little. It broke HOD, and when it re-broke out again I took a position right above NHOD. I was risking at 2.39, and goal was to sell at 2.90, as it had some resistance there back from July. My trade plan worked, and it was a decent trade. The pattern was good. Me following my plan was good. (Check https://www.tradervue.com/shared/users/20928 for more comprehensive analysis)

Bought this recent runner, that was down 50% from the highs. The entry was not ideal, as I bought at EOD. Should've got in around 9.50-60, because in difference from last time it squeezed, it now hade a base around the 9's. I was targeting a gap up, and wanted to get out if it gapped down. I should've thought bigger picture on this stock, because of the float-volume ratio, so should've targeted a swing trade. Lesson: Think bigger picture, and base trade ideas(risk) around major support levels.

Bought in the morning when it was holding above the b/o level. Thesis was that it could run to at least 6, and I wanted to ride the uptrend, while moving the risk up. Problem w/ this trade was that the base was too far away from the breakout level, so when it broke it was already up 10+% on the day. Lesson: Look for the base to be close to the highs, so that when the stock breaks out it's just up a couple percent on the day.

Bought in the a/n. Goal was to ride the trend until I thought momentum reversed, targeting .60-ish. Thought it could run because of the hot mkt environment+good volume. Hindsight, it's easy to see it had poor odds of running after pulling back, and having somewhat of an artificial uptrend. A stock should rather hold up, and base close to the highs. Lesson: Be aware of the stock's behavior before the breakout. Look for a base, and a significant spike above resistance, before retesting support.
