*EDIT*SEP16
After a few years of messing with trades, extra study etc etc I've found I really regret taking Tims course. The price was just far too high for the quality and content supplied. At the time I had little choice but these days every man and his dog is a Trade Guru creating competition and lower fee's.
Monthly subs are prob the best as you can stop subbing at your own convenience. Stay away from those asking for thousands of dollars. No, they're not worth it. Yes they can make you 'rich' but also in extreme debt if they dont do their job properly (which I find most dont).
The biggest issue I've found with trading is its really hard to find like minded people you can actually sit down with and chat. I highly suggest getting a friend or two into trading and learning together. Better if you can have someone with experience you can sit down with and they can show you trading in person.
Good Luck!

Please note this is NOT a review, just my experience and opinions with the course over the last year.
---TL:DR
An ok course at a very premium price. Recommend more for Americans and not so much for international users. Know what you're getting into! Tim is very transparent and pro-active which is great to see and knows his stuff but his attention to detail, quality and support is lacking - Shop around.
---Why I Signed Up
I live in Australia, nearly 40yo and have failed to live the lifestyle I require. I've tried multiple careers and working for myself yet nothing has worked out.
I had a talk with one of Tim's helpers 'Doug' before I signed up who explained "it would help me" but that was it (looking back I'm not really sure why we talked). I jumped in on blind faith as my savings were gathering dust and was desperate for trying something new.
---First Impressions
Received a very large box with many large booklets inside (I'm pretty sure a small tree was killed to create them) and a box of DVD's. This provides tons of learning material to get stuck into.
Emails also start to flood in like crazy and for some reason my Hotmail wouldn't allow me to take them out of Junk. Get a new email address for Tim's course!
Some DVD info is out of date (such as websites). Maybe Tim has\will update this for future students? I bought his 'how to make millions' dvd and that was up to date nicely but shouldn't have needed to do so further adding to the cost of the course.
I eventually found out the course is very biased towards Americans (which is understandable as it deals with the US stock market). Unfortunately there wasn't enough support or information available to me so I knew what I was getting myself into. This caused issues finding a broker.
You also get access to:
Video archive - Tons of video's of Tim (and guru's) talking charts etc. I found a lot of it hard to follow or pointless. Sorry Tim I didn't like your vids or the way they're indexed. The up to date stuff was helpful if you traded the same ticker. It felt like there are gold nuggets of info here but they're hidden like a needle in a haystack. Some good vids from other guru's too which is helpful if you wish to move on with them afterwards.
Webinars - Challenge students only. Held live and watchable later which is great but could use some major editing and can go over an hour easily. Some are very dull and others full of great info. Tim G, Mark C and Superman are my favs. Mark C's vids are new and have been helpful.
Chat Rooms - Alerts & Challenge rooms. Some of Tim's subscribers absolutely love the rooms. I found it more of a distraction or filler between slow days. Without proper research on tickers users had mention then using those charts to me feels like a gamble. At least with a Watchlist I can do some research before the open.
---Getting a Broker
You Americans have it so good with brokers. So many choices! Unfortunately when you're NOT American brokers don't like you. They will tell you misleading information and I was amazed at how wrong a lot of the info online is about which brokers Aussies can use. There needs to be more information on which brokers international users can use and what their fees and restrictions are.
Finding a broker to trade US stocks is possible but finding one that allows shorting [penny stocks] isn't. I ended up with OptionsXpress. I'm not a fan of them as they have some restrictions but it will do for now. At some point I might go with Suretrader and keep minimal funds with them (they have a bad reputation).
Overall it took about 7 months before I could trade due to broker support giving me incorrect info and no one here in Australia able to answer any questions! I did sign up with IB at first but they don't allow trading USD!
Tim's team don't handle international questions too well. They do reply which is great but I ended up not bothering them anymore once I got my broker.
---Cost
There is a premium price tag to the course. Americans are probably use to it as your school system is pretty awful. Tim justifies it with "this course can make you rich" but it can also make you poor. I suggest buying DVDs and reading up on penny stock tactics before jumping into the course. The value of anything is what you're willing to pay. Even buy some books!
The course was a year of my savings and the last 12 months has been very hard on me. I never studied as much as I wanted too but these were personal issues and nothing to do with the course itself.
You will need money afterwards for trading. This money will transfer over to your broker and I recommend up to $10k minimum. Yes, getting into stocks is costly and you can do it cheaper but it will be tougher to get anywhere. Most of Tim's students don't seem to be very active and it could be due to money issues?
---Was it Worth It?
Not really. (Edit: Answer was previously "yes")
I wanted to learn to use the stock market and also have a tactic or two to use and Tim has provided the information to do so. Unfortunately that info works more for Americans and not so much international users. He has given me info on using the stock market safely but I feel it scared me more than anything. I'm in no way a natural stock market wiz and it's been tough to learn but without the confidence to go in there and put money down I feel the course has pushed rather than pulled me to trading.
If I went back in time I wouldn't have done the course. Instead I would have purchased some DVD's and went from there. Chances are I would have went with another guru who concentrates on going long over shorting due to my geography and broker issues.
---After the Course
EDIT: Changed this whole section...
Took on the Investors Underground DVD set which was a great watch and my trading confidence has grown a ton. Unfortunately it is lacking in information that I need but I like the DVDs a lot and are easy watching material.
I've continued to read, re-watch lessons and stay up all night trading. It's tough trading on the other side of the world!
What I've learned from all this is no matter the guru, the price tag means very little. I am now completely drained of cash to study further and -$400 on the market. Online video's can be a great way to learn but unless they cover every aspect of the trade then you're going no where and it might not be worth your money.
A guru needs to cover pre-market setup far better then they're doing now. They all have tons of vids on trading the ticker itself but there is more work in finding the ticker than trading it. A lot of what I know about finding a ticker is from my own research and what I've found is very simple information is being left out. My guess is guru's are so use to doing what they do they find most of it is common sense but to us noobs it's vital info we don't know.
Last of all - Feedback. All businesses need feedback! Get some. I find a company that doesn't want feedback is only interested in how much money is coming in. Not a good thing.
---Thanks
Thanks Tim for the opportunity to better understand trading and understanding there is a chance to make my life far better than a 9-5 job. As one of the premium guru's out there I hope you continue to work on your training skills, quality of videos and support to your students. Hopefully the cost and effort I've put into this course will pay off in the long run.
When trading real $$$ your emotions gets in the trade. You have to expect the worst when in a trade. Make sure you sign with with good site like Marketbeat.com, Marketwatch, Barron, flyonthewall.com is what i use.. Always trade 3%-5% of your portfolio for each trade and you'll be new but you have to make sure you watch the markets. furtures, forex, news from other countries (like what's going on in china) etc not just Tim watchlist
Thanks for feedback, remember you have the information for life, the patterns/lessons/rules are EXACTLY the same as I've refined them over 15 years so keep studying, when it all clicks for you, you'll be amazed
Thanks for the comments. Cheers Tim!
It will be a difficult journey if you try to jump from one strategy to the next without actually developing the trading discipline. Sure you will have to find a system that fits your personality, but instead of focusing on what you don't have, be resourceful and use what you do have. If you don't have a broker to short penny stocks then don't short penny stocks. There are many ways to make money in the market. But remember, the most important thing is discipline and consistency. Without those tw
