Was long form $0.835 on Friday's close in $NVCN. This morning I was confident that the stock would make some progress in Pre-market, and it did but "Robinhood" didn't like the sound of that. I have been trying to sell since $1.17, and then @ 1.24 once the order didn't go through, but the price went up again. The order didn't go through so I left class and asked for the wifi, cause I thought I was on the wrong one, but I was so then I continued to call Robinhood to try to sell my shares but I couldn't get anyone on the phone. I tried every number on the automated call responder, and still no one picked up anywhere. Unfortunally I am still long, and now negative because Robinhood will not let me unload my shares. I looked at twitter and saw that other traders also ran into this problem this morning.
Any suggestions, or ideas would be much appreciated!; "besides dropping RobinHood as a broker".
just sold @ 0.94 avg, so not too shabby.
I'm watching How to Make Millions now. Trust me there is so much you need to know. I'm new too.
I did go to Help > Trading on Phone app and drop a message and they responded/acknowledged issue within 15 minutes. I was in a similar position last week and had to take cut in profits.
did you have a stop loss or limit sell order in place? regardless if the app crashed the buy/sell order will still execute if it was placed before the app crashed ie. the previous day. Also dont be afraid to move up your stop loss when you are up more than 4% so even if the price begins to decline the stop loss will trigger and will lock in the previously gained profits creating a no loss trade
