Hey!
Super excited about becoming a full time trader a couple weeks ago. I just graduated from college so now I get to focus solely on trading :)
I've seen some good improvement the last couple of weeks even though the market has slowed down drastically for the summer. Most of my good trades lately have come from an overnight position which I typically prefer not to do. However, this strategy seems to be working better for me because it is harder to make good gains in the same day due to the range being tighter, lack of volume and volatility. Just something to think about.
For example, today I locked in profits on DSKX, HNR, and UEC which I was short overnight. I also daytraded some others including GBSN for scalps. Due to my willingness to take small profits, every trade I made today was a winner (sometimes you just need to take what you can get). I will upload the trades tomorrow so you all can see.
Anyways, I'm nearing 10k in trading profits which is a good short term goal for me. I hope to achieve this goal by the end of the week, however, I won't force anything. I'd rather take my time than to lose money due to bad overtrading.
Follow me on this journey! Thanks for reading.
@chrisr310 I actually started trading with my own money (about $18k) in my dad's IB account which he used to use for investing and hardly was on. This allowed me to get away from the PDT rule because my dad has a large amount of capital.
Welcome back!
