So if u were in chat today you saw me banking on VLTC live. This blog is about the trade so you understand why I went in when I did. This trade is FAR FROM IDEAL but it highlights the ease of which all of you could have made big profits on it. When these big opportunities come up, you need to focus hard and get a trade plan going, then, you need to implement this plan without doubting yourself. I still doubt myself all the time so I’m continually working on this too. Today I was able to pull the trigger exactly at the moment I was looking for. I am very very happy about this and I hope some of you can learn from it. The total trade was just under 20 minutes plus about 15 minutes of watching beforehand while I thought about what I was going to do. I have never made so much money in that small amount of time! Here is the trade!

So I actually took a little nap today because I had a great morning with some trades I nailed early on for a total of over $400 profit, which is definitely better than an average day for me. I woke up a few hours later, closed a small position I had on CRIS for a small loss, and then noticed that VLTC was up huge. I saw some people saying they wanted to short it so I shook my head knowing that it had plenty of room to run. I didn’t really have time to warn people because I was up in my head staring at the chart trying to think of what to do. I knew I had to get a trade off on this monster. Then, VLTC broke $8 and ran to about 8.17. DAMN! Did I miss it? Is it too late? No, it came back down under 8 and continued to consolidate. I looked at the volume bar and noticed it wasn’t all that impressive on the $8 break. Surely this thing will need some more volume to really plow through the whole number convincingly, I thought to myself. This is where I got my order to buy ready. I decided to carefully watch volume and price action, and the next time it touches $8 I’m buying as long as the volume is stronger than last time. It touched $8 once more but on weak volume so I just watched it fight in the 7.96 – 8.02 range. Then, suddenly the Ask started to get eaten up and a huge volume bar was forming! I immediately clicked my left mouse button, got filled the full size I wanted, and then found myself up $450 on the trade in just 1 minute. I felt my heart rate picking up so I quickly locked in 1/2 for +.25. After doing this I felt much better because I just gave myself a nice cushion on the trade and mitigated a lot of risk. Now, I just had to let the trade continue to work for me. Seven minutes later I locked in another ¼ for +.39. I gave it 10 minutes more and locked in the last ¼ for +.54. As most of you know, VLTC went on to touch the $9 mark. So, clearly, this trade could have been much much better. It’s all good though, I traded the way I currently feel comfortable with. I have a lot to learn still but I am very happy with my progress. The total gain on this trade was $710. I am very happy with it.

I probably won’t be in chat trading tomorrow because I have somewhere to go with family. I hope VLTC stays relevant for a while. I want to play it some more!
