@EGUZMANT I see a couple things in san: looks like it's bouncing off decent support so positive as well as breaking trendline on one month daily---but could be the end of a head and shoulder on the one year that breaks off to the downside and retests 8.50 area. I'm not real bullish on foreign financials over US stuff (and don't know much about $SAN at all), but one thing you can do is write covered calls if you think you want to try to keep it. If you do this let me know I will help. Should be trading most of tomorrow I think...

I read some about wcc(write covered calls) but how would this work if $SAN keeps going down.. Im trying to research more so I don't waste your time with this silly questions.

Yes, if the price drops too much it is hard to write premium (what you get paid) for calls at a strike price above what you paid for the stock. And if the stock shoots up you cannot get the profits above the strike you wrote it at, which is the real disadvantage of cc's.

@Entrada I need your input. I got in on $SAN @9.76 is now @9.14. As trading strategy I should've sold when it hit $9.60 Do you think it would be a good investment even is it goes under $9?

IB and Roth Accounts at Etrade and Fidelity. If you have limited capital initially, Suretrader is about the only route I think can work.

@Entrada have you tried dividend trading?

I'm not sure if I understand your question. I have some TLM which pays dividends but other than that, no. I think the move into dividends is going to prove costly to all the people looking for a safe haven who bought into blue chip divy stocks. I'm not even interested in gold or commodities as hedges. Cash is best position for me currently.

I meant dividend strategy. Buy stocks before the ex-div date and sell after the record date. Getting the Div and selling the stock.

Hey no problem, It turn out to be a good pick, but unfortunately I made a mistake while placing the sell order and I only lost the commission fee. Did you get your twitter acct?

@JohnnyUtah I just started trading as well.. I'm starting with $500. So I'm kind of stuck with under $1 shares. Hopefully we can share some experiences so we can speed our learning curve.

I've held $HTM Over the weekend and I'm still holding.. based on the chart it seems like it keeps the trend for 4 days then goes up or down for another 4 days and changes direction. So I'm waiting to see if I will get some profit or I will definitely lose some money. I need to learn how to read the financial statements.

@Entrada It's been awhile.. I did my first trade at last. I want your opinion on AUMN. I'm thinking on trading this tomorrow. I would love to know what you think, just to see things from another perspective.

Is anybody here using TRADEKING?

I have before. Their fees on penny stocks are atrocious and in general their execution seems poor, but their options and trades up to 1000 shares (???) are cheap at 4.95.
