Well today was a learning day for me. No losses, no gains, held cash all day. If there is one thing that I have learned since starting, it is find a plan (that works) and stick to it. The plan that works for me wasn't showing up so I left everything alone. I like to be done everything by about 11am, then revisit as the day goes on. One thing that I did do today though was get my Level II's through my broker ( I use TD Advanced Dashboard right now) which I was stupidly putting off.
I wanted to revisit PIP today. After 2 green days, it makes sense that it was a red day. Its a garbage stock that had 2 great days. I capitalized on my profits, now its time to move on but always worth keeping an eye on it JUST IN CASE. Today I was watching CBR from Tim's watchlist and I missed the dip so I left it alone. It was not the set up I have been using but it was right there. I was too side tract and it happened right before my eyes. Oh well, thats how we learn. Nothing else really jumped out at me and thats why I sat on my hands all day.
Here is my goal for the next year, and I would love to hear everyone else's goals;
My goal is to make at least $100/day or $500/week on top of my salary with the fire department. Seems like a simple task but if I accomplish that, I will have made an additional $26,000 this year. Today, because I didn't make money in the stock market, I went and refereed two hockey games and made $162 ($65+$52+$45[millage]). Tomorrow is a new day and hopefully the markets are stronger so I can build my small account!
I hope everyone had a great day, please share your wins and losses below!
Good goals, "
