How I plan on doing it is to build account equity up to my max limits. End of the month anything over the lmit taken as profit. Estimate tax for the month put that away.

Oh and keep track as you go. I made 400 forex trades last year, I now have to manually type them all in.

@GraniteState I hadn't thought of trying to make quarterly tax payments. That's a great idea. I will definitely work that idea into my plan, thank you!

My thoughts are the same but I like the idea of doing it quarterly.

@Deep ehhh...ya know....basic chart pattern knowledge is 100% essential. check out Bulkowski's stuff on www.thepatternsite.com ..I do have what i'll call my "secret ingredient" and THAT i am not willing to share yet. in 3 days of trading I'm already up almost $2,500...it would take 6 months to make $2,500 in a 5% mutual fund with 100k.

@huperauxano I traded live ammo starting off for about 1 year, after a year of trading i went on a deployment in the USN for 6 months, got out of the navy, paper traded for 6 months and now im trading live.

@huperauxano I HIGHLY recommend paying for the software with Warrior Trading and treating that account like a real account before you live trade at all.

@ProfitTurtle Calm down bro, like I said, its my 1st day back with live money and my 1st day on IB, I tried to upload my trades from IB but for some reason it gives me an error saying I have no trades to upload. Will try again tomorrow, maybe it will be able to find them in 24 hours. As of right now, I don't know why it's giving me this error other than maybe it needs a day to process my trades.

@ticblaster thanks, no, I started trading because I found Tim Grittani about 3 years ago and started trying to copy him. That worked really well for me for a few months and I quickly made $25,000....I must have been on a lucky streak because I lost all 25k over the course of the next few months. But I've been paper trading for 6 months now and I think I have a winning strategy that I'm finally ready to use.
