Question to all those who profited off WATT, WLL: Why are energy stocks booming after the coronavirus sector died down?

What did you see on TRNX that made you want to dip buy it? It wasn't a hot sector play, and its news didn't seem very strong. If anything, this looks like a promotion that went parabolic. You don't normally dip buy late day, so I'm wondering what made you comfortable with dip buying this.

-$2,250 loss XSPA Long Stock

Entry comments: Speculative buy on this new spiker that announced they're going to do cooronavirus testing at their airport locations, I could see this low priced play really running in this crazy market

Exit comments: Gave it time, but no spike whatsoever, rule #1 cut losses quickly

How do you determine how much time to give these plays before you cut losses?

@WWalker That's a damn good question. 20% is a lot of room, I wonder what was going through Tim's head during that trade.

@WWalker @Darktigr It's rare Tim has a loss this big (percentage wise). He would never advice giving it that much time (20%). This trade is just one of those trades that went wrong in my opinion.

What you described and the chart, it would seem it was a short sell instead of a long. I'm just looking at it as a newer student, I'm trying to understand and see the patterns that you are teaching. I know they are cookie cutter patterns. I just was reading when you entered and added and exited, it looks like a short play is all. Thank you for all the education you are instilling in me.

Good trade, but why did he exit at 7? What made him decide to hold through all those halts? And, most importantly, what made him decide to go long in the first place? I like seeing these success stories, but what's the method to this madness?
