1 Day Trades until Tuesday
3/5 OTIV- $1.23M last traded, rel vol 2.23, Israeli Business Equip, 36.16M float, .73% short @ ratio .9, IO .2%, PM news yesterday that they received purchase orders for thousands of NFC payment systems to be installed at leading US food chains and kiosks. On the 31st they had news of a purchase order for 10k systems into the Japanese Market. Earnings are due on the 22nd. This stock isn’t very volatile but can hold a trend. It recently ran from 1.30 to 1.90 in 6 days with news of them developing their new system and then started the bounce and current up-trend with the last news of a 10k PO. It looks ready to breakout of $2 after which the main resistance shouldn’t be until 2.70 with potential for rough times in the mid 2.50’s. I would consider swinging this from $2 to 2.50 and would try to get out before earnings.
3/5 THLD- $2.57M last traded, rel vol 4.51, Biotech, 66.4M float, 1.17% short @ ratio .87, IO 10.38%, No news, earnings due in March. This has a window from .75-.78ish to $1. The last time it broke out into this range it did so with no news and went from .63 to 1.20 before pulling back. Yesterday it tested the level twice before failing in the afternoon. This stock is capable of late morning/midday spikes. I would like this to hold support at .65 and would consider taking an entry around .70 if the price action gave me confidence.
2/5 ADHD- $4.12M last traded, rel vol 4.5, Israeli Biotech, 21.5M float, 3.51% short @ ratio .99, IO 30%, PM news yesterday of Q4 earnings loss and midday news of the CC transcript. I was looking for a gap fill from this yesterday from 1.37ish to 1.80. This needs some volume to be convincing though I suspect the move is over. There is potential for some resistance at 1.44 as well.
2/5 CYTX- $2.92M last traded, rel vol 6.8, Biotech, 20.13M float, 2.18% short @ ratio 1.85, IO -, PM news yesterday of them completing an acquisition with the SEC filing coming out in the AH. They presented with updates yesterday at 11:15am. Earnings are due on the 2nd. This has a window from 2.28ish to $3. The volume has increased the past couple days as this has struggled with the 200DSMA. Not a typically volatile stock but has spiked in the past. I would be careful around 2.70. Resistance has proven strong so I would probably wait or the break of 2.25ish before considering a position.
2/5 WAC- $2.46M last traded, rel vol 1.75, Mortgage Investment, 34.19M float, 12.21% short @ ratio 11.36, 11 days to cover, IO .8%, No recent news, earnings due on the 27th. This stock has resistance at 4.15 in combination with the 200DSMA. I doubt it would break this level and would suspect a pull back if it did. If it does manage to hold that level as support this has an opportunity to reach $5 as long as the 50DSMA at 4.57ish doesn’t become an issue. I would consider selling at 4.50 if I didn’t like the L2/price action.
