Finally updated our trades and we are down about a hundred dollars. That's not ideal but I'm actually pretty happy. It is naive to think that a new trader will be both profitable and consistently so out of the gate. We are focusing on learning how to take small losses and with grace. Hopefully will post a few green trades this week.

Made $416 on VGTN but it was a paper trade. It was a hold from last night as I am trying to focus on one pattern right now. I should have let it run more but I need to learn to crawl before I start sprinting.
Finally finished Trader Checklist which, frankly, took longer than I had planned for. However, it's done and I can keep pressing forward.

@CkMil I'd definitely recommend profit.ly because of the sheer amount of videos. @BloodHalv Hey there, I saw that you are spending some time just studying right now and mentioned you'll start trading in the spring. I'm doing the same and I was wondering how it's going for you? I'm curious if you are going to try and join the Challenge at some point, get a silver subscription, or buy each DVD individually to continue learning. I'm pretty undecided myself and trying to evaluate what my best option is. What are your thoughts?
It's going pretty good to be honest. Thankfully I have a lot of patience personally so am willing to wait this long. As for the study method, I will be getting later this month as I feel it will be advantageous. For the DVDs I would suggest Trading Tickers. HTMM is good but perhaps a little outdated now.
Steven Dux is releasing a new DVD soon and I am interested in buying that. I feel DVD's are good study methods as the content tends to me more structured and thoughout. So if you haven't done anything yet, look at HTMM (it's on sale and is a good foundation) plus Trading Tickers.

Been studying for over a month now. Making solid 'knowledge' gains. The plan will be to continue this until the new year.
I just started studying a couple weeks ago as well. I'm curious, what did you start with and what is your learning plan?
I'm going to address this in my next blog post but I found that there was just an overload of information. So some sort of path was needed and I chose How to Make Millions as that path. Tim has a lot of material but it's all over the place in my opinion.

@Lx888 I agree that the market changes every day hence why continuing to add to the 'database' is important. Case in point is Pump and Dumps which I believe (someone please correct me) that they are not as hot as they used to be.However, they may come back. Sykes says to study the past. I'm not subscribed to Penny Stocking Silver yet but plan to circa November/December time. Still continuing on. I was hospitalised last week but back on it now. It's important to not only study hard but think about HOW you will study and creating a robust structure. Hopefully years of higher education and being a perpetual student will assist with this.
