Since this is my very first blog post, I wanted to give a little background on how I started on this adventure.  I hope it will help some of you who are in the same position I have been in.
 
I have been studying Tim Syke's videos for over 3 months, both as a Silver subscriber and watching his HTMM DVD.  I've paper traded for what seems like forever using both TOS and my homemade spreadsheets.  Last week, I funded my account and was patiently waiting for the right opportunity to begin. 
 
$CYTX came up on my radar in premarket thanks to the chatroom.  During my time of studying, I've seen a pattern that the most successful people on here seem to stay away from premarket trading (at least, for the most part).  Although I wanted to jump in right then and there, I took their advice and waited until the market opened. 
 
Here is how it all happened:
I decided what would be my entry price, my risk price, and what I wanted to profit before buying the stock (best lesson I've ever heard - makes the trading so much easier).  Then I made the trade for $0.47 at 9:33am.  Slowly, I watch Level 2 to make sure the stock was moving in the right direction.  After several stalls and a slight drop, it continued moving up.  Although my target was $0.56, Level 2 showed that it had stalled at $0.51 for several minutes.  It was at that time that I decided to take my profits and get out (second best lesson).  When all was said and done, I profited $143 on this stock. 
 
I would like to personally thank Tim Sykes for his 2000+ hours of teachings and advice.  For me, I learned the most from his experiences, how to look for patterns and especially how to read Level 2.  Yes, I was overwhelmed in the beginning trying to remember all of his rules and didn't know if it would ever stick...but it did.  And I realize that there will up days and down days.  But, with all of my months of "practicing" ahead of time, I have to say that it made my first ever stock trade a very enjoyable event that I will likely never forget. Thank you for all you do,Tim!!
