At this point yes. I have about 5000$ to trade at this point, so the fact they are commission free was a big sell for me. The interface sucks and is designed for very basic analysis, so I have a handful of other apps I'm using to research and view charts

@Smittymcdougal Commission free sounds good to me! If you are able to make multiple trades within a day without any problems, I'm going to give it a shot. I have some other resources I've been using for research and charts, nothing fancy, but they are user friendly for me. Thanks again for the great information!

Hi new traders- welcome! :)) Check out Think or Swim platform-/they almost never have shorts but open up a cash account - NOT a margin account with them- thus no PDT rule, but still has the trade +3 day clearance. However, no minimum- free paper trading as well, free level 2 and they start ppl of with plenty of commission free trades :)). That being said, they have had issues with delayed quotes lately- their ITTeam has been on it over a month, still good to haveany accounts in ones trading arse

I'm brand new here. After watching FORD for the last few days, wanted to place a trade today, but after hearing what a couple of guys had to say about it, I listened to them and didn't trade. I should have because I could have gotten in when you did and out with 1,000 shares. Disappointed, but there will be others. BTU is on my radar and now LOOK. I don't know how to short yet, so I'm just looking to buy and sell. Congratulations on your trade today.
