Luckily I cut losses quickly. Knowing now that the drop was too gradual is something I will pay attention to in the future - same with the wall of buyers! Those were key components I didn't consider and I don't know why. You nailed it. Good job. Definitely a valuable lesson for me today. Easily worth the $30 loss! Thank you!

DRNG offered a good dip buy just like DFFN $LEXG ZPAS CNAB etc.. all of them were pump looking charts (some were blatant pumps). You bought into the wall of buyers/support in speculation that it could not go down anymore and it would bounce for quick gains. This explains so well that, as a trader, you should not be biased to whether the company your trading is Crappy or not. You should be concerned with price action anticipating it! With that said don't hold onto shit companies either.

$CAMT recent earnings winner. It has been panicking for the past few days and today it did not so you bought it in anticipation of a possible overdue dip bounce. However, similar but in contrast to DRNG, there was a wall of sellers so you sold and took your gains due to the possibility of it not being able to increase any further. Smart because it did break out later in day but not before coming back down right after where you sold. That allows you to re buy later. Great lessons Tim!

I understand! Dip buy the stocks that have the big morning panics, not the gradual declines. The spot where Tim bought was right after a second panic following the long downtrend. That is due to all the panic of bitter holders finally cutting losses and no one else to sell. Great lesson! Wait for the big buyers on a stock is crashing. There is not always a guaranteed bounce. Wait until support zone where buyers are coming in to find the bottom. Wall of buyers make it safer for the dip buy. Always exit a trade if it doesn't do EXACTLY what you want. Hope is not a strategy. I understand - so much so that i called this 2 days in advance and also that Tim would dip buy it. HA! No shares to short at IB on this one :(

I understand. I was able to take a 20% gain out of ECGR this morning on a drip buy (bought .20 sold .24 30 mins later). It eventually went up to .30 (on the bid) so 50% gain was possible but the point you make about preparing, is 100% true. I learned this from the PSF DVD. Thanks Tim.
