Great vid, I have seen the difference in sept. compared to previous months. I have only been trading since April and it's been a roller coaster, thank you for the vids and other information you teach it helps a lot. I just finished reading Trading in the Zone and that book described me to a T as a new trader. I quit posting trades in profitly about two months ago because it depressed me but now my mind is in a different state after reading that book and will back log my trades. Thanks Tim

Perfect visual example of rule #1 in effect. Probably my biggest problem as a new full time trader is limiting the size of my losses, crucial lesson here. Thanks!

You're the best! For a new challenge, during a month if you keep your losses under let's say $150, or $200, or whatever, then you should donate all that months profits to charity, to prove your #1 rule is KEY and to also prove to those nay-sayers!!!!!

The market has changed. I thought, i was just being a wierd newbie. I am having trouble finding good entry points. Everything seems slow moving at the moment. I watched ATEC all day and a couple others but I personally could not find the spot to jump in at. I just dunno but ill get it in time.

Yes agree it has been a difficult market especially trading with small account...i have adapted by returning to paper trading and studying rather than forcing trades that aren't there...rebuilding confidence, continuing to learn and trying to improve.

I totally understand. I've been a challenge student since June 2016 and have just begun to really understand trading. i felt that I had the perfect setups. but sometimes I missed my entry, didn't get filled, or mistimed an entry and while it's frustrating to just lose over and over, risk levels must be respected and losses must be cut accordingly. Thank you. Valuable.

Notice how all these losses totaled only eat up the smallest profitable trades, the rest of the profits move the account positively. You want one trade to wipe out all of your losses. Rule #1 saves accounts! Yup, he did the math in the video too, as expected

Conner_TaMader
Conner_TaMaderDec 16, 17 12:31 AM

Cut losses quickly and let winners run. If you are disciplined then you can cut losses before they become disasters. Even with all your losses you can cover them all with one good winner and that is the key to growing an account.
