First #papertrade on TOS platform. Really need to get the hang of the software before I risk my own cash! As market data is delayed & I couldn't work out how to put in a Limit order, I got filled at Market price and lost about $0.10 on the BUY price from what I was aiming for. I scaled out ½ of my position initially, to lock in some profits & learnt that 2x SELL orders BOTH attracted a $9.95 commission!

I know, i have a hard time getting my orders to execute with TOS paper trade too...thinking I might just say screw it and watch the real time stocks move and make predictions upon those and then once I get more accurate begin trading

I used to open two things, the live trading feed and my paper account on my phone, when the stock was where i wanted to enter i would go to my phine and make the trade at the real time price, just go to orders and wnter the ticker and it will show the real time price there and you can enter your oders that way, thats just how i learned when paper trading on tos
