Everything I write in this blog, is just an exercise I'm doing to become a better trader.
The exercise consists in everyday, after market hours, I'll write my thoughts and experiences of the day in the market.
This is not meant to be investing advice, its purpose is solely educational for my own self journey; if my personal experience helps somebody else in their personal journey of trading, so let it be it. That's my thought.
First trading day of the new year 2021.
I'm barely getting use to the trading platforms. But I have notice that to use this type of platforms is a must for any decent trader.
The information requiered in real time is essential for a good trading activity.
I need to handle those platforms with mental agility, the only way to do it is with practice.
I set up some acceptable screen layouts, helped myself with some youtube tutorials.
Today I traded two plays, both bought in the dip.
One was in the morning panic, the ticker was $GAXY, at 09:48 am I bought 16300 shares @.0308; sold them at 10:33 am for .0339. They charge me a commision of $6.95 per trade; so I ended paying $13.90 in commisions to the broker. My net profit was of $34.68.
My second trade was made at 14.15 hrs, bought 3400 shares of $PMPG @ .145, sold 3200 shares @.014 at 15:59.
For some reason I missed the typing, and mistakingly typed 3200 shares to sell, when I intended to sell the whole poistion, so I got stuck with 200 shares overnight (no big loss hazard), which I will have to sell tomorrow.
The problem I see, other than the small loss in the trade, is that having missed the right amount of shares the first time I sold, will make me do another sell or operation which will cost me 6.95 extra in broker's commision.
I lost little over $50.00 in that trade.
This is the only way I will get the experience needed to become a self sufficient, profitable and consistent trader.
I'm aware the journey isn't easy, but I'm determine to persevere, so I will need a lot of patience with my self.
I'm doing the bootcamp, currently studing lesson 13, also reading the suggested chapters of the book The complete pennystock course; also watching first Tim Grittani's DVD TT, watched trader's check list, and some webinars.
Still a long way to go. This is only the beginining.
I'm greatful for this wonderful opportunity, and I will do my best to capitalize it to the fullest of my capabilities.
