[TimAlerts] I don't understand why people don't seem to use options to turn profits though (at least not that I can find anything on)... I'm a total noob at trading, but take a big company like $GOOG, 758.09 currently, Dec 24 '15 w options @ 9.20 for 760 strike. A stock like that is fine to hold, but buy that, short a call and hold it a week, sell at 9.20 + 1.91 = 11.21

[TimAlerts] I play with options a little... I bought $ONTY thinking it would go back up a little, but it's not looking so hot. Shorted a call with a strike less than I paid for a decent profit once it's assigned

LOJN is being acquired at 5.50/share. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would think the stock would hold steady at that number until they accept/reject. Any thoughts or professional opinions on this? (I'm a total noob)

@x82hammer28x Well LOJN is interesting because it spikes so much, and yes it was on news, but often they do come down a bit once the hype dies down. So if it can't hold its current level and many people are selling(look at time and sells and/or lvl 2) then it could be a decent little short
