[TimAlerts] it's not $VVUS choice to accept the offer, they have no say. it's the people who own the bonds to their debt

[TimAlerts] I understand the risks but I am already long $VVUS. The bond holders don't really have a choice. Ichahn is offering a price a lot higher than the bonds are currently worth and if the offer is declined the stock tanks and the bonds are worth even less.

[TimAlerts] there was a 30k buy on $VVUS at close but what really got things rolling was a 268k buyer at 1.68 and from there it took off

[TimAlerts] I agree $VVUS is a dangerous hold. But as a bond holder it seems like a no brainer to accept ichans offer. He is offering a much higher price than they are worth if converted into stock by the holder and if the offer is rejected the stock goes back to $1. making those bonds pretty much junk
