I have a question if someone could help that would be great.

If I buy lets say $1000 worth of BTC "bitoin" which is about 10% of what it costs. If the price of BTC next week hypothetically goes to 20,000 usd will this mean my fraction or 10% (1k) will then be worth 2k? This is what I think would be the outcome but I am just double checking. Thanks in advance I am a noob when it comes to the crypto world.
