WEI spectacular launch and pretty much a parabolic rise.
Was too afraid to buy into it.
Got burned with ACOR and RWLK.
Maybe too aggressive this morning with losers, everything was trending down. Looking for a bounce which didn't happen to some of the tickers.
WEI some junk stock that I thought would die like ACOR seemed to get pogo feet and launched into the 4s at this point. I had opportunity in 1.30s and 2.80s to buy in but just did not, probably didn't want to lose more than I lost at this point.
But the issue is, if you don't take the risk, where is the reward?
My best play of the day was AIHS, where I got out at breakeven before it plummeted from 1.68 to 1.13 currently.
It's a problematic issue, when to get in, when to sell, and when to walk away.
I can hear Kenny Rogers singing in the background now.
I was watching WEI as well. I too thought it couldn't go higher as it was up too much. I think it was because of a short squeeze (specially AH went to $10). What do you think of buying the small pullbacks these stocks have as they are going up? Worse case: we buy the top and have to cut losses quickly. Best case: It keeps going higher and we could lock some profits.
I just didn't have the guts to buy into the pullbacks. Buying into stocks that high implies "chasing" and the reversals coming off those highs can be just as quick. I've always had trouble cutting losses and it has burned me so I don't buy into them when they are that high. I am much better now controlling that than in the past. As with WEI, it was a 1000% runner. A few years ago when I started trading 200 to 300% was extraordinary. I've been kind on a hiatus for over a year and half until recen
tly and these 1000% runners are crazy. If you search for DRYS, that was the talk of the town for a long time. Now these kind of supercharged parabolic moves is like the new "normal". Keep grinding.
