Dear community,
This is my first blog ever on this site. I have been on this site for a while now, about a month and half and I'm impressed daily by the motivation and the huge potential of all the community. I have been reading and studying tim sykes DVDs for a while now and have come to a point where I decided to take my financial freedom in both hands and work for it. I started paper trading about 3 weeks now from time to time using different watch lists posted by fellow members. Today I'm made my FIRST EVER 2000$ ON PAPER TRADING. It felt immensely great even though it is fiction paper. I love the market frenzy, it keeps me going and alive, I feel my heart beat each time I'm on a stock position.
Concerning my 2000$ gain, I checked VLTC this morning and saw that Carl Icahn was still long on it. It also reached the 9$ on yesterday's session and closed near the 8ish. This morning I found a news that confirmed Carl Icahn was still long on the stock while being up on the pre-market about 7% . I bought it right at the open at 8$ then waited 1 MINUTE ONLY and the stock soared to an amazing 8.78$, enabling me to make around 78c/share on a 10000 position. I re-entered on the 8.62 and bought another 10000 shares just to realize that between the time I had click buy and the time I turned my face from the computer to drink a cup of water it had spiked to the 9$, I sold right away enabling me again to make a 1300$.
I hope to open an account with InteractiveBrokers as I'm an international living outside the U.S but I'm still confused between InteractiveBrokers and SURETRADER. I head sure trader had a pathetic execution and service is it right?
very nice congrats
