Everyone has different reasons why they follow Tim, whether they're Millionaire Challenge students, or Tim Alert subscribers, or other followers. Some may want to simply make money. Let's face it, we're all here to make money for one reason or another!
For me, I'm currently separated from my wife and will be going through a divorce, but my wife and I have kept things amicable and I live next door to her and my two children. Why am I telling a bunch of strangers this (OK, community members ... we're not strangers I suppose :-))? I'm mentioning this because I'm in the Millionaire Challenge to learn this system from Tim, Michael Goode, and others, so that I can earn some extra money to support my children and me in the future as a soon-to-be single dad with two teenagers. That is what drives me to learn this system and succeed. This week has been terrible financially going from +$250 to -$450, but I learned some valuable lessons, and I know I'll make it back little by little if I stay disciplined, follow Tim's rules, and don't make mistakes with my trading software. Like Tim says, if you keep hitting singles, you'll score runs, and home runs aren't necessary. I just need to stop striking out, but I'm still swinging, which is important.
However, the biggest lesson of this week is that I really wanted to try to trade this evening in power hour to try to earn back some of that $180 loss from earlier, but my daughter came over about 8:45 (I live in Germany; 6 hours ahead EST). She wanted to watch a movie with me tonight before I leave for a week for a business trip with my job (only a part time day trader right now). I didn't even look at the computer, and the movie lasted until 10:15 (4:15 EST). I didn't trade at all in power hour; I was down ~ $200 on the day; but I spent the evening watching a movie with my daughter who I won't see for a week except on Skype. As the credit card commercial says, "Priceless", and a great lesson for me that whether the day is up or down with stock trading, money made there is only a means to the end of happiness with my children, and that's rightly where my priorities were this evening.
I wish everyone a great weekend!
Awesome!!!!!!
