I seem to be finding the stocks that move and spike. My problem is my entry and exits. I see a stock get close to a resistance level when long or support when short, and then when Im about to enter the trade it blows past my res or sup and then i find myself chasing the stock. Then when i get executed I'm at the top and then the stock goes against me and i start to freak out. Im trying to get better at reading level 2 to see if it will come back but im still relatively new to live trading. Being down i start to "up" my position size to compensate for losses and then that freaks me out more because its more money on the line. Finding out that trading is a huge psychy game. So looking back i need to stick to my plan and try to execute my timing better. If it blows past my entry point, i need to see if it will retrace back to where i wanted to enter and retry. learning a lot about myself as a trader so that is fun but hard to capture the profits.
If you are trading a stock which has way above avg volume it means that lots of other people are also watching these exact same points using technical analysis therefore it is not always easy therefore the more you get use to the patterns the better you will be able to trade them look for the best opportunities
Th key is preparation and having the right entry points and history in mind and being able to switch back and forth easily while knowing what is what so that you can enter and exit asap and waste less time. Hope that helps.
Im having the same problem..
