So to start off I am a part-time noob trader. My day job only allows me to trade the first hour of the market open.

Lucky for me that is a terrific time to trade !!

I love the smaller cap stocks. You know the ones that can really move. 

 

I tend to make my lists from previous day winners looking for continuation or perhaps a good early morning spiker from those traders/investors buying in because of some weirdo form of super extended FOMO. 

I scan the AH to look for the unusual and / or heavy volume stocks with or without known verifiable catalysts. The ones without any catalysts really tend to intrigue me. I kinda look at them as some insider source telling a buddy to buy something so they can make a quick buck or two. Of course that is not always the case but alot of times some sort of PR news hits early in the AH and my theory rings true.

I am long-biased for now but am definately looking to start shorting.
