I closed my OPTI position at 9:35 for a 6.3% win but since my position was so small I ended up losing $7 on fees since it was an OTC play. I’m fairy happy with how I handled this one as I didn’t panic out when everyone else was panicking, I waited for a bounce to exit my position. If I would have got my full position size I would have ended up somewhere around an 8% total win with my partial sell before the close. This was a decent trade, just messed up with the small size and I probably should have just sold the position before the close yesterday for around a 10% win. Still good experience though.
I tried an afternoon breakout play on BBIG as it looked to be making a late day push and was breaking past premarket highs. Unfortunately I was around 25 minutes late on this play and should have bought the 5.45 break around 1:55. I did, however, stick to my trading plan and cut the trade right at my stop. This one ended up as a 4.9% loss but since I used small size that only ended up being $5.77. Still trying to get my feet wet with this strategy, and this was the first listed ticker I have traded since last year.
I think I need to narrow my focus down even more as I think trying to focus on panics and possible breakouts in the morning is still too much for me. For now I am only going to focus on panic dip buys in the morning and on my watchlists. I want to witness and trade some of these panics to see if I am comfortable with them. I just have too many things that I am trying to focus on in the morning. I’m also going to stop watching Bohen’s premarket prep for now as that just adds to me trying to watch more things. After I am either comfortable with or rule out the panic dip buy pattern I will focus on breakout buying in the morning and will get back to the premarket prep as I believe it can open good opportunities on listed plays.
Possible Morning Panics
MSRT put in a green day today, but with decreasing volume. I will continue to watch this one for a morning panic.
LWLG had basically a midday panic that bounced around 10%. Its still up quite a bit so I’ll continue to watch.
ENZC had a panic pretty much from the start but took all day to bounce. It ended up pretty much unchanged on the day so I’ll keep it on watch.
RSHN would have been a great reversal long opportunity if I had been focusing on that pattern. It put in a green day today but closed weak and is still up really big so there might be a panic dip buy opportunity soon.
CZNI is on the 5th green day following earnings with increasing volume. This is a trash company with no products and shows no cash on hand, if you Google the address listed in the filing it is a UPS Store. Just another case of the Twitter bots hyping up a carcass. I assume there will be a panic at some point on this one, I will keep it on watch.
MJWL is breaking out to all time highs on next to no news. The latest news was that they are working to get OTC current. The volume is fading on this one so I’m not sure how much higher it can go. I will watch it for a possible panic.
