The good:
1. You waited at the bell and shorted AVEO on a bounce.
=====================================
The bad:
1. You added shares when AVEO reached a support level. That is the WORST time to add shares since many stocks start rebounding into a bounce on a support level. You want to add shares on a bounce! You did the opposite and sold on a bounce for a large loss.
You screwed up. Only add shares on a bounce, not a support level.
2. You tried to short IMGN when a short wasn't there. It didn't match a pattern.
3. Speaking of patterns AVEO didn't match much of a pattern either. You were forcing things today, and lost a lot of money.
You need to write down the patterns that you are looking for. Don't trade if the stocks don't match a specific pattern.
You also need to go long more often.
