I joined the challenge about 2 months ago and have been studying off and on. I average about 7-10 hours a week, but know that I can commit more time to study. a little bit of background I tried trading back in 2016 and grew a $500 dollar account to about $8000 within the first 8 months but then went on a losing streak and proceeded to blow everything up. I didnt really study and wasnt willing to commit financially to buying material to study.(I did buy how to make millions and watched it through once) I saw the potential of making money through trading stocks, but lost all confidence after blowing up my account. I refunded several times with $500 each time, but just found myself holding/hoping/gambling on stocks without any real understanding of what was happening. Before joining the challenge I funded an account with $2000 dollars and proceeded to lose almost all of it. My account is currently at $240 dollars but at the lowest it was at $140. I promised myself that I would not fund my account with more size until I reached $600 and felt confident that I would not hold/hope/gamble and would go into every trade with a plan. I am still working on cutting losses quickly and sticking to my plan when trades go against me, but I have seen the light in a way on the rocky road that it has taken me to grow my account from my low point. I know that this is kind of a long blog post but I felt that it would help if I typed it out and forced myself to be accountable by posting all of my trades moving forward. Im currently mainly dip buying stocks that are running multi day, but thinking about how many trades I have left (because of PDT) has been causing me to not stick to my plans. I find myself in many trades up +10% or more and just hoping for more and then riding the stock up and down. Resulting in myself in a negative state of mind and then getting the feeling that I need to make up for the unrealized profit that I just let slip through my fingers. I am working on being satisfied by sticking to my trading plan instead of the dollar gain from any particular trade. If you made it this far I really appreciate your time and hope that you will read my post a few month from now once I have reached a point of confidence that will allow me to continue forward with more size. Thank you again
