Things are feeling much better for me now. I have my confidence back, after it was shaken in February when I took a few very big losses. There was some good news in the cannabis sector which brought some life back to the OTC markets and led to my biggest single profit on a trade in $CANN. I've been losing slightly more trades than I'm winning recently, but I am keeping losses small and having some nice sized wins which are leading to overall profitability. I was also interviewed for the SteadyTrade podcast with Tim Bohen and Stephen Johnson, that was a lot of fun.
Here is my current profit chart:
You can see my drawdown appears to have bottomed out and I'm now working on reclaiming my highs. I've had 4 green weeks out of the last 6, and I've only had one undisciplined trade in which I didn't cut losses quickly during that time. I feel like I will be retesting my all time highs very soon. I'm in a few good plays over the weekend, one where I'm already up 20%+ and another in a low float bitcoin related ticker which should spike nicely if bitcoin keeps it up over the weekend.
Here is a nice picture of my last 20 trades where you can see for the most part my losses have been small and my wins bigger than my losses, plus a couple very large wins. I'm currently up about $4,200 for the month of April.
I'm really disappointed in profit.ly right now though. I linked my two IB accounts together so that I could transfer money freely between them, and now I can only verify trades from one of the accounts. I'm a huge believer in transparency and it frustrates the hell out of my that I have to post unverified trades now. If anyone has done this and knows a way to get my trades importing from both accounts again, please let me know. Profit.ly support has been no help whatsoever.
Lets talk briefly about my trade on CANN. The setup was a little different than most breakouts I usually buy. This ticker has been downtrending since it went supernova around the end of last year. I've been starting to look for other breakout levels besides when a ticker is going to 52 week highs. This kind of setup is the first of those I've really been studying and it appears to be a solid play from the ones I've watched playing out in real time. I've drawn the line on this chart that I believed to be one of the most important support/resistance levels. It was the original resistance level that broke at the beginning of the supernova run. And it acted as a support level both on the frontside of the supernova and on the backside. When the stock finally dropped below this level, it hung right under it for about a week before having a bigger collapse and then starting to bounce. This signaled a reversal in the trend and I was watching for it to break back above the support/resistance level.
Here is the daily chart:
This play worked out very well and was helped by some positive news coming from the federal government about how they will approach cannabis businesses. Trump came to an agreement with my state's senator Corey Gardner who had been blocking all DOJ nominee's due to Jeff Sessions stance on cannabis. This bodes well for the cannabis sector and I hope to see some more supernovas soon. I missed out on about 50 cents of gains from my first 900 shares because it was looking weak and on the brink of collapse before the news came out and spiked the whole sector.

Please check out my interview on the SteadyTrade podcast when it is released. I was pretty nervous for the first few minutes but after that I think it went well. Also I picked up a nice mic for recording the podcast and which I plan to use when I start recording trade recaps. I'm trying to find some software that will let me record my screen with the little picture in picture showing myself as well, as I think people like those kinds of videos more than ones that just show the screen. Once I figure out how to record those videos I will start putting out some trade recaps. Thanks for reading.
Cheers!
