I haven't made any real trades myself yet either. I've been using thinkorswim's papermoney to practice. It's really helped with learning about different order types and how to watch chart patterns. When I do fund an account, I'll probably go with ETrade or TD; I haven't decided yet.

Norma not sure if that question was for me or not but stick with what ever you have learned and have been using this far... Being a newbie it really doesnt matter. if you have less than say $2000 to start go with the lowest commissions possible. Believe Ameritrade has 60 days free commission right now but that is a min. of $2000 once youve got some $ and have a slight clue at to what the hell you are doing then reevaluate....

Thanks so much for the tips. I owe you a beer, if you're ever in Alaska!

Hey, seeing as you've mentionned your a noobie (like myself) wondering if you could help me out. Simply put: I haven't traded yet and am not sure what broker to turn to or how to start. Any suggestions or way to point me in the right direction? thanks!
