If you are a user of thinkorswim, and never tried "ONDEMAND" you should at least give it a try

What it is ?

The folks at thinkorswim have created a database with every single tick for stocks, options, futures, ...

including level 2 quotes for every exchange since 12/07/2009

You do have access to this database and replay the action for your favorite stocks on the date of your choice.

Now I find this feature an excellent way to try my skills a playing the penny stocks markets at my heart's content

thinkorswim behaves just like always, only difference you are replaying the past, that is something that you cannot do with paper trade

To use it just click the OnDemand Button at the top of the chart on your right hand

 

It will turn purple and take you immediatly to simulated mode

Then select the date on the right of the new purple OnDemand button add you are ready to go

From now on all trades you do are simulated(not real), You get started with an acct of $100,000.00 tp play with

To get back at real trading just click the same button again
