I've come across this frustrating issue with getting logged off in the middle of trade with Suretrader 3 times and on each occasion it only happened when the stock was getting mainly short squeezed and one time when it was crashing. On both occasions, when I shorted and noticed I was getting short squeezed with the price rising rapidly, I tried to get out of my position only to get logged off - on both occasions, after logging back, I found myself up against price rise of over $1. Luckily I'm still playing with under $2k account so position wasn't large but on both cases, I ended up loosing some $350+ which isn't good for small account. In one case, after shorting, stock started crashing which was good for my position but when i tried to take the gain, suretrader threw me off again. When i logged back in, I quickly sold my position for some 40 cents gain which wasn't back but I wondered what if I had gone long and stock crashed which would have put me in a good bit of loss.
Has anyone experienced such an issue with suretrader?
@osirustwits - thanks...I did think it was some sort of manipulation on broker end!
@Volition - nope, because before getting logged off, i've seen some other messages like operation couldn't be completed (something like that) - well, if i'm trying to get out of get me out...normally it would send the order with 'triggered' operation even if it's unable to execute...but not when it short squeezes. Its funny why force log out on short squeezes!!
@ormtrade01 you must read the posts. Everyone is saying don't touch suretrader with a 10 foot pole unless you want to lose money. Even Sykes has said over an over the issues lately. If you can't do the research on the broker you will get killed on researching on the stock.
@ormtrade01 follow me on twitter and dm/private message me and I can discuss this further and try to help you as I am on my way to work
