Opened an interactive brokers account to see how easy it would be to trade forex, future stocks and options worldwide from one account. Wow how excessively complicated is this system? Looks like its going to take me a while to learn the ropes...if i have the patience for it! If you use IB and your interested in touching base perhaps even helping me learn this system or you have some alternative suggestions on how I can benefit from this brokers market coverage without the complicated platform message me here.

@martinwylie really? ok well i'll have to check out IG as well, i liked the fact i could do everything in one account at IB plus verify all trades with a minimum of fuss on @profitly , i like trading view as well, the otc thing is a major drawback for me. I'm pro-real time on trading view, perhaps it was just a data issue?

Unsure. I was watching all pre-market action today, but can't recall specifics about PLUG. The killer with US stocks cfds is the commission - minimum is 15USD per trade. Saxo looks to be 20USD but better availability. I'm in the same boat as you, totally agree... IB looks perfect, hopefully they can offer margin/short-selling soon - they say it's coming but been that way for a while.
