Got in a bit late and then out during spike but it was a little too early. I couldn't cancel the trade fast enough as it ran past 6.60. Small position and small win, but for the amount I invested I need to think about the percentage gain that would actually make more profit. My price points should be lower than this due to small account. I should wait until account is bigger in order to trade higher stock prices. The trading costs took up most of the gain. Happy to end green tho' :)
Got killed on this one. Plan was to sell into the next day morning spike. Then, didn't cut losses hoping for next spike which never came. News came in that it would R/S so I knew that was bad news. Gotta cut losses quicker and look for the next supernova.
was waiting for news which turned out to be a reverse split (not a good sign for most companies who have done R/S). Averaged trade to .98 but it tanked hard and couldn't get out quickly. Ouch! Note to self: Let's try not to blow up this account
Thinking that this stock would go up a few pennies but as soon as I bought, it tanked but stayed above the 13ema so stayed in. Bought more shares to average down as it held support. Got out at exactly break even (loss taken on transaction fees of course - cost of doing biz) Learning a bit each day.
Got into $GEVO thinking SUPERNOVA! but watched it hit prior resistance at mid $1.30's so decided to get out and lock in profits. News (tho' positive sounding) about the Alaska Air trial run made it sound like just that - a trial run. It may pick up steam and run again. My feeling is that they the company may be acquired by bigger fish in the future... Thanks Tim!
Bought as a overnight hold with good price action at EOD but had to get out for a loss when the next day price/volume tanked
pure speculation. 5% loss. Good thing I didn't hold longer as I would have in the past. Now its trading at 0.15 cents
long hold but price breaking below EMA3 on 5/24 so had to get out.
