Well, its another weekend and many hours of video lessons to watch and audio books to listen to and charts to stare at. My family has nicknamed me the "Chart Whisperer" because they can find me staring at my new 43" monitor with a huge chart on the screen, just staring at it, well actually I am trying to see the smallest detail at different time frames but they don't know that.
They'll ask what is it you are looking for, and I will say 'I'm looking for The Money Honey" that usually gets them to leave me alone to my own demise, we call it trading.
I used to hope for sunny weather on the weekends but now I hope for wind and rain, Why? you might ask. Well if it its nasty outside then I have nature to blame for not being able to mow the lawn but if its sunny out or at the least dry I can't get out of it but I am looking to hire a lawn service this year. I think it would be a good investment.
This week I have been fine tuning my scanner and trading strategy, so far I am having decent results but I have not taken any live trades only paper so far. My scanner finds some really great post spiker charts and I will drool over them because if a person was able to find them just before they ripped it would be game over, but that's not the real trading world is it. I am sure if you are reading this you yourself have found a chart or two that you thought to yourself "Wow if I had only found that at the right time I could recover from that huge boner trade I made the other day".
Currently I am a STT pro member so I use STT trading program but I also use Equityfeed and VectorVest. For charting I have a subscription to Tradingview and Finviz and will use the free version of Stockcharts. With all the research resources at hand you would think trading would be easy, but it's not. I still have to decipher the information and try to determine what a ticker will do next and there's the chink in the armor. I can still only make a best guess at the movement of a ticker and that's why Sykes and Bohen will always say to check the history because history tends to repeat it's self.
Yesterday I received my new 17" trading laptop from Amazon, I purchased the laptop so that I can dedicate it to only trading and nothing else, no games, picture editing, skyping ONLY TRADING. We do have 2 other laptops and I was using one of them for my trading. But no longer, no more pop ups from Victoria Secret's for the newest Panty and Bra combo or the new Thomas the train video. Now I will only get Sykes blazing alerts during the trading day. I almost forgot I also bought 2-16" USB monitors for my new laptop and a new desktop with a 43" monitor just for trading.
Well enough blah blah blah for now, if you got this far thanks for reading.
