Month of December was quite a rollercoaster, up, down, up, down. Ending the last month of the year red, still preserving my trading and mental capital. Looking forward to 2026 and focusing on process over profits. This year was a great year overall, want to continue learning and improving.
End of October/beginning of November were a bit of a drawdown. Overall trading feels tougher in the current market conditions. Taking less or not trades and be very selective is important to protect capital. Opportunties will show up, but at fewer quantities. For now "Risk off", meaning size down and wait.
October was ok, not great. I had some good trade ideas, some executed well, some less. I had about 2500 USD in losses I could have avoided by simply sticking to my risk, not oversizing or adding to position too soon. Not swinging positions if I have missing conviction or insufficient cushion. I had a higher gross profit compared to month before, but gave back too much, which I will address in November. I grew my account by 17% and 267% in past 12 month, want to continue with positive mindset and take it to the next level.
very helpful and true.. ever since $OPEN couldn't breakout convincingly the momentum shifted and breakouts no longer work as great. Exhaustion bounces and shorts seem to be the current theme as you state and hope you can increase your win rate this way again. Thank you for sharing this
September 2025 was my best month - it could have been better, but I am pretty happy. Sticking to fewer setups, trading fewer stocks, avoiding randomness. Gave back some gains by not taking one loss earlier and trading random setups. Trading is about taking losses smartly, they won't alter your P/L and are more or less noise on your way up. Another mistake, not taking profits on a already solid winner. Take 3/4 of position and let rest run is something I will try to implement going forward to grow my P/L even faster.
August 2025 - overall solid month - P&L is not yet significant, but my trend is going into the right direction. Since November I grew my account by 157% - still many mistakes to be addressed. This month I was disciplined in terms of keeping my losers small, base risk 150 and I am slightly below in average. Have to work on profit taking - I was up a lot on OPEN and could have locked in at least a quarter or half. Still my avg is so low, that I am still comfortable in it, but if it snaps against me, this feeling might change. That is what I am going to work on in September.
