@woj37 quick question. What are you looking for when your trading?

That's a very broad question. I've narrowed down my watch list to super volatile stocks, with large volume. A Stock that is over extended the with a long green candle past a key high of week or month. I then just watch it to either continue higher to grab some long while being ready to short it since it's bound to come back down. I lost a lot of money in the beginning watching those low volume stocks that "might" break out. I found for me, watching the stocks that move up and down in a single da

@cdr2006 how do you find earning winners? Is it by looking at earning calendars and seening what company is comin out with earnings or what?

look at the percent gainers then look at the news to see if it's up on earnings, contract, etc. Also make sure they have good volume like +500k shares

I love buying earnings winners and shorting pumps. There hasn't been that many pumps of late but it seems to be picking up now. Shorting pumps has been the most profitable for me so far. As far as scanning for stocks I look at the percent gainers on yahoo finance around 10am and every 30 mins after 2pm to see if there are any potential overnight plays.
