I've been around here for a few months now and have been learning almost exclusively by Tim, except for some technical analysis books I have been reading. I have been attempting to go long on the majority of my trades for the last 6 months. Overall I have been consistently losing except for some lucky trades that I've had. My overall loss is somewhere between 2-3 k in real and paper trades. Now though, I have focused on short selling and found that I am far better at going short than long. In three weeks I've made just under 1K in paper trades. I will be paper trading up until end of Aug focusing on shorting and then opening an account of around 4K. I am asking for some assistance with finding the best broker for shorting. I am considering Suretrade but I am hearing mixed things about it, Etrade has been great when I was using it, but I am also hearing they are frequently not having shares to short. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Happy trading!
