AVXL: This pharmaceutical company had a press release yesterday about their preclinical data that restores functions in a classic animal model of parkensons disease. The stock has a beaten down chart, so I don’t think this stock will spike very far. No play for me right now. Ideally if the stock spikes a lot more this can become a potential short. The stock has a float of 30M shares and has 3M shares short. So like 10% of the company is short. Hopefully this can create enough of a short squeeze to spike the stock.
SAEX: This is my number 1 potential play today, since the stock spiked so much yesterday. Hopefully that volatility can continue in the morning with a morning spike. I have no Idea why the stock is up. There was an article that mentioned the stock, but that was not a positive article. I will only buy this stock if it breaks out past yesterday’s high convincingly on high volume. But this is also a potential short for me if the stock fails to morning spike or breakout. This is a low float stock so I need to be careful when I enter short.
IPCI: This is a potential short for me since the stock had a 50 cent a share spike and the company issued a press release stating that the company doesn’t know why the stock spiked. If the stock fails to morning spike I will enter short.
MACK: This is a pharmaceutical company that up trended all day. Who knows why. This is no play for me right now only if the stock spikes more this can become a potential short.
CZR: The investors have to decide by tonight if they will sign the deal for restructuring the company. The stock broke out past multi month highs. This may also become a potential short if the shareholders do not sign the agreement or take the payout. Hopefully this stock can rise some more.
MIFI is the biggest winner after-hours on news of selling off a division and restructuring...it's not the best catalyst, but this stock has run in the past and there's plenty of upside in the chart...potential buy for me, but I need to see how it acts during regular market hours, not just illiquid after-hours/premarket
